Goodbye Snow, Hello Spring
Well... the rain and the warm temps are making a permanent stay in the forecast, which means goodbye to the snow. Hopefully we'll still have some patches left to play around with the traditional Spring Park. We were gonna go out today but rumbling thunder and the occasional rain drops made us lazy and stay inside.
As much as I LOVE snow and winter, I'm kinda excited for spring and summer. I'm ready to get my tan on and appreciate the beautiful planet we live on. Ostara (the Pagan holiday for the spring equinox) is Monday night and the weather is supposed to be beautiful. I'd love to go camping and appreciate the 'greening of the Earth' but we'll see how that works out. I've found that I really love things involving nature and the earth, and it makes me feel more 'intune' with myself. Guess that explains my love for the winter season and snow... and snowboarding of course!
As far as Spring Park... I'll post an update as soon as we get some features out and have some fun. I really wanna put my GoPro to use since I didn't get to use it much over the winter (thanks, rain and warm temps).
Sorry for the lacking updates lately. Our internet is out at the house and I have to rely on other locations to update anything. I'm working on getting our own internet service so I can update more in the future.

80s Weekend
While the West Coast is getting pounded with lots of fresh pow, unfortunately those of us who live in the Southeast are watching our precious snow melt away. I guess that's what we get for having ski resorts in the south. We are expected to get about 3 inches... yes, 3 whole inches by Monday. I sure hope it happens! I'm so tired of seeing muddy snow.
On the bright side, when the snow is melting, that just means we are closer to SPRING PARK! Oh yeah. That's a whole months worth of fun and progression right there. After the season I tend to get a bit more ballsy because I have some healing time if I get hurt learning new tricks. So pumped!
Last weekend was a blast. It was 80's weekend here at Beech Mountain Resort, and there were plenty of retro outfits to be seen. Here are a few pics of the fun...

Shaun, Oh Shaun...
100.
Really?
Can you believe that crap? Yes, it was an amazing run. But to get a perfect score? Not so much. I think a 99 or hell, even a 99.9 would've been more justified. I'm not a big fan of Shaun White, mainly because I think he's gotten too star struck and sold out. I'm not even gonna get into the 'leggings' . How did he not rip those? haha. Anyways, I'm not hatin' on Mr. White. He does have mad skills and goes bigger than everyone else, but it just annoys me that the judges think his run was worth a perfect score. If it's a perfect 100, then where's room for improvement?

Update :)
Haven't posted in a while so I'll give everyone an update. Not much excitement around these parts thanks to mother nature. All the NC resorts have came close to closing several times because we have week long rain and warm temp spells. Guess we can't always have winters like the last couple :(
Anyways, there are a few fun happenings that I can share with everyone. The Roots Ride Rail Jam was a success. Lots of riders came out and the setup was pretty insane. Everyone was happy :)
New Years was fun. Lots of drunken times and craziness at the Beech Tree.
We've had some really fun park setups at Beech the past few weeks. It's really helped me progress with some new tricks :)
I'll post a better update later with some pics and vids from the past few weeks.
Happy Shredding
XOXO
